Yesterday the TV repair guy (Geek Squad) comes out. Keep in mind that when I scheduled this, they had all the information on my TV, the model, the serial number, everything. Matter of fact, they have been out to service it once before. I also told them on the phone that I suspected it was the bulb.
So guess what, the guy comes out and he has no bulb. Ok, that's no good. He proceeds to take most of the TV apart and start probing around inside. My guess is that he was doing all of this to justify an extra trip out. After he checks and rechecks every part in the set, he gets on the phone with someone else and the two of them decide to order a bulb and a color wheel.
Look, I'm no fucking idiot. This would have been a one trip, 15 minute, in and out kind of thing if this guy would have brought out a bulb. But what we have instead, is a week without my fucking TV working because these guys want to turn this into a two trip fix.
I don't know if you can tell, but this is pissing me off.
I was really impressed the first time these guys fixed my TV. It was easy to schedule. The people were nice and professional. The guy came out and put in the new bulb. In and out. Done.
Geek Squad isn't so high up on my list after yesterday.
