I hate to admit this...

but I am addicted to that stupid Storage Wars show. I don't know why or even how it happened.

I was up until like 11:30 last night watching it. I know that doesn't sound late to most of you, but I'm up every morning at 4:20, so yeah, 11:30 is late.

That guy Dave is such an asshole. And from the looks of his new truck and trailer, extremely full of himself. I'm itching to see him get get burned bad on a lcoker.

Barry cracks me up. He must have a ton of money. He pays way too much for storage lockers and then he never sells anything. All of the really weird, cool stuff he finds, he keeps and gives away the rest. And he drives some cars that are cool as hell.

Jarrod and Brandi, dude, I don't know about these two. It's probably a good thing they don't have unlimited money. Jarrod gets too involved in dick measuring contests and pays way more than he should for most of his stuff. If Brandi wore less clothes, Jarrod would get better deals.

Darrell seems like a good guy, but he gets the short end of the stick most of the time.

I have to quit watching this damn show...

I bet claire mccaskill thinks I have forgotten about her...

It's been a while since I have promised to work for whatever candidate is running against claire mccaskill. I don't want her to feel like I don't care anymore, because I do, alot. I want her gone.

We, in Missouri, will have to see who the Republican challenging mccaskill will be. There are 3 candidates right now, Sarah Steelman, Todd Akin and John Brunner.

Steelman and Akin both have government experience, Brunner is a St. Louis area businessman.

I don't know much about any of them yet. But any one of them would be better than what we have now. Having mccaskill is like having our own private, female version of obama. She has been trying to tack to the center lately, but anyone who believes that deserves her. She is a full on liberal.

On the upside, she finally sold her "damn" plane. I'm waiting to hear the Republican ads related to that whole mess. They should be good.

You are in for a treat... Steel Panther!

If you've never heard of these guys, you are in for a treat. They are like the Weird Al of the Hair Band world. Their songs are awesome and funny. And they really are good musicians. Have a listen...

On this day in History...

On this day in History, November 30th, 1835, Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) was born.

Mark Twain published more than 30 books in his career. To learn more about him visit here...

While there are probably thousands of Mark Twain quotes, these are some of my favorites.

In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man's reasoning powers are not above the monkey's.

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear -- not absence of fear.

Government is merely a servant – merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.

Free Pimpage, All Around...

I had an email this morning asking if RockAuto or Amazon.com are paying me for the positive reviews I gave them over the last couple of days.

No.

Nobody is paying me. I have never made a single nickle off of this blog. I have never received any free stuff. I have never asked for anything, and I wouldn't accept anything.

When I recommend that you spend your hard earned money with someone, it's only because I have already spent mine and was happy with the products AND service I received. If I get great service and a crappy product, I would never suggest you visit the business.

In the world today good customer service seems to be an afterthought. When I find it, I want to pass that along.

I will damn sure tell you if I get screwed over someplace, so it's only fair that if I get good service, a good product and a fair price, that I tell you that too.

Sorry for the early morning rant, but the email struck me as more of an accusation than a question...

U.S. Airways Refuses to Give Terminal Cancer Patient Refund

u.s. airways, wow. I can promise I will never fly these guys. Neither will anyone in my family. That is going to be the most expensive $4200 bucks they ever made.

By Todd Starnes

U.S. Airways said they are standing by their decision not to refund money for tickets purchased by a woman diagnosed with terminal breast cancer.

Lynn McKain and her family had purchased five round-trip tickets earlier this year to Belize. The dream trip was booked after she had been cleared of breast cancer. However, she was recently diagnosed with stage four breast cancer and her doctor ordered her not to travel, according to a report on WUSA.

When the McKain family asked for a refund on their $4,200 tickets, the airline refused, explaining that the tickets were nonrefundable.

“We are so sorry to hear about the situation with Mrs. McKain and we empathize with her,” U.S. Airways spokesperson Liz Landau told Fox News & Commentary.

WUSA reported that McKain provided letters and medical documentation to the airline proving that she was not able to travel, but so far – the airline has refused to budge.

Outrage is growing online. A blogger at The Right Sphere called the airline’s decision “cold, heartless and just plain mean.”

“If this is the kind of company U.S. Airways chooses to be, I assure you I will never fly with them again,” wrote one blogger.

Landau said the airline agreed to waive change fees as well as offer the family vouchers for future flights.

“We’re trying to be flexible and offer her and her family some accommodations,” Landau told Fox.

“Big deal – I may not be alive,” McKain told WUSA. “What good is a voucher gonna do me?”

Landau explained that the vouchers “can be used by anyone in her family.”

She also offered a word of caution to all travelers.

“As with purchasing anything, it’s important to understand the terms and conditions of the tickets you purchase,” Landau said.

So the bottom line for the McKain family – no refund.

I'm not gonna say I told you so...

Remember all those times that I said obama was even a worse president than jimmy carter? Well now it's official. obama's poll numbers are lower than jimmy carter's numbers were at this same point in their term.

43%. Holy crap, how are they that high?

It is really amazing though that someone can be worse than jimmy carter. It's almost like you to try to suck that bad. It would be funny if it weren't so hard on our Country.

But you know, jimmy carter has to be down on his knees praising the gods that forced obama on us. It must be a tough gig being known as the worst president in the history of our Country.

The worst part about it though, is that obama is such an arrogant prick that he doesn't think he sucks at all. It would be so much sweeter if he realized the magnitude of his suckness.

I wonder if any of his people tell him how much of an absolute disaster his presidency is? I'm willing to bet they don't. Most of them seem to be as conceited as he is, so they are probably clueless too.

Less than a year from now let him know exactly how we feel when it counts...

If you have never used RockAuto Auto Parts, you are missing out...

I ordered some parts for my car and my Bride's SUV YESTERDAY, and they were sitting on my porch when I got home from work today.

Holy Moly! I've never had anything but great experiences when dealing with RockAuto and I've ordered from them several times.

The parts I got yesterday were half the price of what I could get them for at my local auto supply house. The shipping was reasonable and, as you can tell, lightning fast.

Next time you need a part, just check them out. Pull them up and then pull up your local place in a tab and compare the prices. And don't think they carry some off brand crap, it's all good stuff. The only downside to them is you can't have the part right now, but if you are able to plan ahead a little like I am doing with these brake pads, give them a shot...

Kind of feels like 1979 all of a sudden...

Wow, I had flashbacks today. It's like it was 1979 all over again. People freaking out in iran and taking hostages and we have an incompetent idiot in the white house.

I was 16 years old at the time. I figured we would be going over there and kicking the hell out of someone and I didn't want to miss it.

I went over to the United States Marine Corps recruiting office in Conroe, Texas. They were pretty pumped when I told them I wanted to sign up and leave for boot camp immediately. But as I started filling out the paperwork, the Staff Sgt. asked how old I was. "16 Sir," I replied. "Go home Son, you're too young," he said. "My Mom will sign Sir, I'm ready to go," I said. "Boy, go home and come back when you are old enough," and that ended our conversation.

The next July, when I turned 17, I signed up on the Delayed Entry Program. By the time I was able to actually leave for boot camp, Ronald Reagan had been in office a while and things had settled down.

As it turns out, one of my Drill Instructors in boot camp had been on the failed helicopter mission into iran. He was one of the lucky ones that came out of it uninjured.

Anyway, I feel for the families of the British Nationals that are being held by those assclowns now. While any number of hostages is too big, it could have been a lot worse. Maybe the leadership in iran will come to their senses and let these people go very soon. It's not in their best interests to play stupid games at this point.

Herman Cain is Done Like Dinner...

Herman Cain should pack up his toys and go home. Even if he is 100% innocent of all the accusations that have been brought against him, he is damaged goods. The circus has become to much of a distraction.

Couple all of the claims of sexual misconduct with his lack of foreign policy experience and he is a no go.

It's too bad. I really liked him and he seemed to be doing well in the beginning.

This is the wonderful thing about debates, they shed light on the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates. Had we not had all of these debates with different formats and topics of conversation, we might have glossed over Herman Cain's lack of foreign policy knowledge. Granted, he could have done what obama tried to do and just learned it on the job. He would have been much better at it than obama has proven to be though.

But with the shape of the world today, we will need a leader who can jump in with both feet and start putting out fires. Cain isn't that guy. Who is? Is it Newt or Mitt Romney? Maybe Michele Bachmann?

Let's hope that the next debates help us narrow down who is who...

I could use a nap, any of these beds would do just fine...

Damn sure wouldn't be any sleeping going on though...

U.S. Seals Court Records Of Border Patrol’s Murder

They probably have all these documents stashed in the same place as obama's college records. If you didn't see this coming, hit yourself in the head with a tack hammer. Every day the people investigating this mess get closer to the truth, and to the fact that obama and holder knew what was going on. And maybe even closer to finding out that obama and holder had something to do with putting this whole thing together. What other documents will they hide in the future? You can bet there will be more. I wouldn't be surprised if witnesses started to turn up dead or missing...

Judicial Watch

The Obama Administration has abruptly sealed court records containing alarming details of how Mexican drug smugglers murdered a U.S. Border patrol agent with a gun connected to a failed federal experiment that allowed firearms to be smuggled into Mexico.

This means information will now be kept from the public as well as the media. Could this be a cover-up on the part of the “most transparent” administration in history? After all, the rifle used to kill the federal agent (Brian Terry) last December in Arizona’s Peck Canyon was part of the now infamous Operation Fast and Furious. Conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the disastrous scheme allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels.

Instead, federal law enforcement officers lost track of more than 1,000 guns which have been used in numerous crimes. In Terry’s case, five illegal immigrants armed with at least two semi-automatic assault rifles were hunting for U.S. Border Patrol agents near a desert watering hole just north of the Arizona-Mexico border when a firefight erupted and Terry got hit.

We know this only because Washington D.C.’s conservative newspaper got ahold of the court documents before the government suddenly made them off limits. The now-sealed federal grand jury indictment tells the frightening story of how Terry was gunned down by Mexican drug smugglers patrolling the rugged desert with the intent to “intentionally and forcibly assault” Border Patrol agents.

You can see why the administration wants to keep this information from the public and the media, considering the smugglers were essentially armed by the U.S. government. Truth is, no one will know the reason for the confiscation of public court records in this case because the judge’s decision to seal it was also sealed, according to the news story. That means the public or media won’t have access to any new or old evidence, filings, rulings or arguments.

A number of high-ranking Border Patrol officials are questioning how the case is being handled. For instance, they wonder why the defendant (Manuel Osorio-Arellanes) hasn’t been tried even though it’s been almost a year since Terry’s murder. They also have concerns about the lack of transparency in the investigation, not to mention the recent sealing of the court case.

Osorio-Arellanes is charged with second-degree murder. The four other drug smugglers fled the scene and their names were blacked out in the indictment. In 2006 Osorio-Arellanes had been convicted in Phoenix of felony aggravated assault and in 2010 he was twice detained for being in the U.S. illegally.
During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this month to address the flawed gun-tracking program, Attorney General Eric Holder said it’s not fair to assume that mistakes in Operation Fast and Furious led to Terry’s death. Holder also expressed regret to the federal agent’s family, saying that he can only imagine their pain.

WTF? YHGTBSM...

The Air Force Academy has built an $80,000, Stone Henge like worship center to embrace all religions, including wiccans, pagans and witches. Another fine example of our tax dollars being used to drive a stake into the heart of our Country.

This story comes just a few days after a story about the Army removing a cross from the front of a chapel because it offended some people. They didn't say who or how many were offended, of course.

So, basically, the United States military wants to embrace all religions except the Christian religion. And it isn't just the military. There are plenty of examples of Christians being discriminated against every day. But that's ok, as long as the witches and muslims are good, that's what counts.

Our Country is seriously going to hell on the express train...

Obama named among '25 least influential people alive'

Hahahahaha, oh damn! This is funny stuff right here! Hahahaha! obama on "25 least influential people alive" list! Hahahaha! This is the "smartest" president ever that 52% of America was sold in 2008? What a joke. This guy has proven why you actually need to vote on substance instead of flash. Oh damn, my sides are hurting.

And Boehner is just about where he needs to be too.
By Drew Zahn - WorldNetDaily

Something has happened to the media's adoration for President Barack Obama.

According to an MSNBC sneak peek report, the men's magazine GQ – which named Obama "Man of the Year" in 2008 and "Leader of the Year" in 2009 – will name the president one of its "25 Least Influential People Alive" in its December 2011 issue.

Specifically, the "leader of the free world" comes in at No. 25.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, doesn't fare so well either, coming in at No. 24.

MSNBC further shared this embarrassing GQ comment on its talk host, Ed Schultz, who ranked No. 3: "Then there pundits like Ed Schultz. Do you watch 'The Ed Show' on MSNBC? Of course you don't. No one does. The only reason people watch 'The Ed Show' is they're working out in a hotel gym and they can't find a staff member to change the channel to ESPN."

GQ saved some its sting for Tina Brown, the editor-in-chief of Newsweek and The Daily Beast, who came in at No. 17.

According to Forbes, GQ said of the Newsweek chief: "Brown spent 2011 transforming Newsweek from a magazine no one reads into a magazine no one reads but everyone despises."

Also making the "least influential" list are potential First Husband Marcus Bachmann, ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and shunned country singer Hank Williams Jr.

Coming in at No. 1 on the list? Former GOP presidential hopeful Tim Pawlenty.

US and nato kicked out of pakistani base...

Due to an incident involving nato aircraft firing on pakistani troops, pakistan has ordered the US and nato off of a base used to launch drone and observation aircraft. pakistan has also shut down border crossings used to resupply troops in Afghanistan.

There have been reports that the aircraft that fired on the pakistani troops were shot at first and that the incident wasn't "friendly fire" and more like self defense.

As the relations between our Country and pakistan continue to breakdown, are we still supposed to consider them an ally?

Razors and Stripper clips...

I got a disposable razor in the mail the other day. Holy crap, this thing came in a box big enough to pack up 250 9mm rounds. And when I got it out of the box, it looked more like some kind of yard implement than a razor. I think it has about 15 blades. I'm kind of scared to use the thing. I could shave my whole mug in about two passes with it.

Last night I was looking online for some SKS Stripper clips. You know where I found the best price? Sears. Can you believe that? $4.03 for 20 of them, on the downside shipping was over $8.00. I didn't figure that was too bad so I added 4 packs of 20 to my cart. The shipping was times 4 also. $32+ dollars shipping on $16 dollars worth of product? I wound up getting them at Amazon.com. I picked up 80 stripper clips for $30 bucks with free shipping.

My Thanksgiving screw up...

We always have the family over to our place for Thanksgiving. My Bride goes all out. She cooks a mean bird. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law bring stuff too.

My contribution is usually making a couple of loaves of homemade bread. It's good stuff. All the little kids tear it up. This year I decided to try something a little different. I wanted to make home made dinner rolls.

I searched on line for just the right recipe. Somehow, some way, I screwed it up. I have a pretty good idea where I went wrong. While they tasted pretty good, they never rose properly and turned out like little hockey pucks.

I remade them today and they turned out awesome. They were big and soft. I took a couple of liberties with the recipe today. That may have helped a little too.

I think what I did yesterday was killed the yeast. This recipe calls for 2 cups of warm milk, it might have been a little too warm.

Here is the recipe for the rolls I made...

Pillow Soft Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

4 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F to 115 degrees F)
2 cups warm milk (110 to 115 degrees F)
6 tablespoons shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
7 cups all-purpose flour

1.In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the milk, shortening, eggs, sugar, salt and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.

2.Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes (dough will be sticky). Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.

3.Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide into 24 pieces. Shape each into a roll. Place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks.

When I made this again today, I changed the sugar to 1/3 cup instead of 1/4 cup. And instead of 6 tablespoons of shortening I used 6 tablespoons of butter. If you make this, be careful of the temperature of the milk and water...

The bread I usually make is awesome. Here is the recipe for it...

Amish White Bread

Ingredients

2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2/3 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons active dry yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
6 cups bread flour

1.In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, and then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam.

2.Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Mix in flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Place in a well oiled bowl, and turn dough to coat. Cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.

3.Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes, and divide in half. Shape into loaves, and place into two well oiled 9x5 inch loaf pans. Allow to rise for 30 minutes, or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans.

4.Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.

You don't have to mess with this recipe at all, it is perfect like it is. If you try either of these out, let me know what you think...
