Over the last few days, on three separate occasions, I have put front brakes on my Bride's car, front brakes on my car and this morning, rear brakes on my Bride's car. I still have a set of rear pads coming for mine. They will probably be here on Monday. Once those are done I should be good for quite a while.
I've never really messed for 4 wheel disc brakes before, so I didn't ralize the fronts and backs wear out at about the same rate. If I had known that I would have ordered all of them at once.
I bought all the parts from RockAuto and everything has been perfect. Let me also throw out an attaboy to FedEx for the awesome fast delivery.
I'm using the ceramic brake pads on all four corners of both cars. From what I can tell, they last a long time and don't squeak or make other weird noises. Even with shipping, I got them for way less than I would have paid locally. I do try to buy locally when I can, but damn, the price difference made it hard to justify.
Any way, I out the rears on my Bride's ride this morning in like 35 minutes. When you can do them that fast, you have way to much practice.

Check these guys out.
Redneck Brand Company has lots of shirts, hoodies, stickers and other stuff with their cool logo on it. You've seen the pictures I have posted, it's good looking stuff.
Life, Liberty, Etc. has some very cool shooting related clothing, and there might be a conservative political statement or two in there somewhere.
Galaxy Army/Navy is a good place to buy the prepper in your life some gear. They have lots of camping stuff, clothing, boots and about anything else you can think of.
Rock Auto has all the auto parts you could want at very nice prices. I've received two orders from them in the last week and will place another order tonight.
The Armory has the cheapest ammo I have been able to find. Even with shipping it is cheaper than most places I have seen.
The Gun Source has all kinds of stuff, guns magazines, ammo, optics, parts, you name it.

Just so we are clear, none of these companies pay me anything, they don't give me free stuff. They have never offered and I have never asked. I have purchased items from all of these guys and they provided excellent customer service and a good product. I support companies that treat me right. I am quick to tell you when I get screwed over, it's only fair that I tell you about people who take care of their customers.

I had an email this morning asking if RockAuto or Amazon.com are paying me for the positive reviews I gave them over the last couple of days.
No.
Nobody is paying me. I have never made a single nickle off of this blog. I have never received any free stuff. I have never asked for anything, and I wouldn't accept anything.
When I recommend that you spend your hard earned money with someone, it's only because I have already spent mine and was happy with the products AND service I received. If I get great service and a crappy product, I would never suggest you visit the business.
In the world today good customer service seems to be an afterthought. When I find it, I want to pass that along.
I will damn sure tell you if I get screwed over someplace, so it's only fair that if I get good service, a good product and a fair price, that I tell you that too.
Sorry for the early morning rant, but the email struck me as more of an accusation than a question...

I ordered some parts for my car and my Bride's SUV YESTERDAY, and they were sitting on my porch when I got home from work today.
Holy Moly! I've never had anything but great experiences when dealing with RockAuto and I've ordered from them several times.
The parts I got yesterday were half the price of what I could get them for at my local auto supply house. The shipping was reasonable and, as you can tell, lightning fast.
Next time you need a part, just check them out. Pull them up and then pull up your local place in a tab and compare the prices. And don't think they carry some off brand crap, it's all good stuff. The only downside to them is you can't have the part right now, but if you are able to plan ahead a little like I am doing with these brake pads, give them a shot...
